Andy Hargreaves, senior research analyst, joined Pacific Crest’s award-winning software team in 2003. He proved to be an integral part of the team, helping it earn national recognition as Institutional Investor’s Best of the Boutiques in 2003 and 2004. Mr. Hargreaves now focuses on the consumer electronics industry, with a vertical approach that leverages the relationships between OEMs, distributors and retailers. He received honorable mention in Institutional Investor’s 2008 & 2009 All-American Research Team in the IT Hardware category and in the Software category for 2009. Mr. Hargreaves achieved fourth in The Wall Street Journal’s 2007 Best on The Street rankings for Computers & Office Equipment. He frequently appears on CNBC and Bloomberg and is quoted in financial and trade publications such as Barron’s, The Wall Street Journal and the Chicago Tribune. Mr. Hargreaves has also been a guest lecturer on fundamental analysis at the Atkinson Graduate School of Management at Willamette University. Prior to joining Pacific Crest, Mr. Hargreaves helped construct and manage equity and alternative-asset portfolios for high-net-worth individuals at Merrill Lynch and Robertson Stephens.
Mr. Hargreaves graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A. in economics.
