Privacy Policy

Pacific Crest Securities (PCS) is committed to safeguarding customer information. As a broker-dealer we are required to obtain personal information from clients to open their account, determine investment suitability as well as verification of identity*. PCS collects non-public personal financial information from customers in several different ways:

  • From information that you provide to us on account applications, forms or other documents. This information may be received in writing, in person, by telephone, or electronically**.
  • From transactions you complete with us. This information may include account balances, payment history, trade history, etc.

We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to anyone, except as permitted by law and as required by ADP Clearing & Outsourcing Services to initiate and maintain your account (ADP Clearing & Outsourcing Services has its own privacy policies as well). If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, PCS will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice.

PCS restricts access to your personal and account information to those employees who require the information to provide products or services to you. PCS maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to help protect your non-public personal information.

*The Patriot Act, signed by President Bush, requires financial institutions to maintain policies and procedures designed to help intercept and obstruct terrorism. This new rule became effective on April 24, 2003. To comply with this rule, representatives will request documents such as driver's licenses, passports, etc. to help ensure a customer's identity. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with these procedures.

**Electronic Correspondence (email, Instant Messenger, etc.) are subject to archival, monitoring and review by Pacific Crest Securities.
